Visiting Santa

We took Lily to see Santa and then, out for dinner. It was our way to kick off this year's Holiday, and a fun night for the family.
We weren't really sure what Lily was up to at this point, but the picture turned out cute.
This is "Lily's" Christmas Tree ... that is what she calls it. She helped decorate the tree, loves playing with the ornaments,  and eats the candy canes. I'm not looking forward to her disappointment when we take the tree down.
Lily was sooooo good for Santa. She never got upset and sat very peacefully on his lap. She just looked around at all of the people and the decorations. She tends to be a little shy in those situations. She was quiet, but seemed excited about everything around her.
We tried really hard to get Lily to smile ... she was just taking it all in. We hope this Christmas is a Merry one for all of our family and friends and that 2009 is the best yet.

I Love Turkey Day

First I slept in. Then we ate a big breakfast and watched the Macy's Day parade. Then mommy and daddy worked in the yard and let me play, play, play ... it was a BLAST! We went to Jessica and Rich's house for our first deep fried turkey ... and these homemade fried potato chips. Corn and Cranberry Sauce are also 2 of Lily's favorites. It was delicious ... or as Lily would say, "Delicioso". When I saw the dessert table, I couldn't keep from smiling. Mommy, Daddy and my other relatives let me try whatever I wanted, and believe me ... I did!! Thanksgiving was a just as fun as Halloween, but something tells me that I'm going to enjoy Christmas even more. It won't be long now.

Clowning Around

Here I am Mommy ... I'm just pretending that I am in a castle.

Entertaining the guests at Jessica's Baby Shower ... Old Mac Donald and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star are the most commonly requested.

Mommy and Aunt Gretchen found me and my friend sitting on a pretty white chair eating suckers ... we were NOT supposed to be there.

Trick-or-Treating as Boots the Monkey

I LOVE Dora and Boots. Mommy made this costume just for me! I even had Back Pack to carry my treats in. We had so much fun on Halloween. I walked from house to house with my friend Laura. We were out for 2 1/2 hours. Laura held my hand and made sure that I wasn't scared.

Here I am with my cousin Sadie. She was a Rabbit for her first Halloween, and boy did she look cute! Mommy and Daddy were silly. They made me take about 20 pictures before we were allowed to leave. I kept throwing my hands up; yelling, "Happy Halloween!" I'm very sad it's over. I keep hearing that Halloween will be back next year, but it isn't good enough.
Grandpa Fred also came for Trick-or-Treat. He stayed home and passed out candy so Mommy and Daddy could both go with ME!

A Trip to Piggies and Tails

This is Piggies and Tails; where I get my hair cut. I wasn't thrilled about sitting in these little chairs so mommy had to hold me. It's really hard to get me to leave with all these toys.

Don't I look soooo pretty now?

It's Halloween at the Kurtz House

This is Lily's punkin. She checks on it multiple times a day and tells us that it is HER punkin.
Thank you for the cute sweater Aunt Sandy. I love Halloween ... This year is going to be sooo much fun. Lily wanted to dress up as Brad for Halloween. When we asked her who she wanted to be, she would say, "Dadu". Now she is going to be "Boots" ... as in Dora and Boots.
Thanks for my "Back Pack" lunch tote Suki. I take it everywhere we go.
Lily & Dadu getting ready to leave for their trip to see Gamma, Pa & Bogie.

A Lesson in Washing Cars

Here is Lily participating in the cleaning of cars. She calls herself "Selfy" ... and "Selfy" has to help with everything. (Whether we want her to or not)

A Trip to the Mall

Riding around with the "Baby Jaguar" look alike ... everything is related to Dora. :)
Lily has been to Chucky Cheese twice, so now whenever we are at the grocery store (or in this case, the mall) she always wants to ride the little rides.

Toys, Toys, Toys

One of my newer favorite places to go is the Toy Store This particular trip was to Toys R Us. We were hunting for Birthday presents (for my friends) when we stumbled across this super cool train. I like to stop and play with each toy that I see. I was VERY good though and never got mad when I found out that the gifts were not for me. I didn't even get mad when it was time to leave.

Bow-Bow, Baby & Bella

Our little trip to Asheville, NC.

Just a few of Lily's favorite things ...
~ Bella the Lamb
~ Gamma and Pa's dog Bogie (aka Bow-Bow)
~ Lily (She named her baby doll Lily)
... but don't get me wrong, there are MANY more faves.

A Lesson in the Kitchen

Lily could stand at the sink for an hour, letting the water run. She has a great time doing it.

She is a super little helper. She participates in clean up and all household chores ... hopefully these skills that she has acquired will carry over, into the teenage years. We have proof Lily :)

Just Another Day at the Park

I could go to the park every day. It is my favorite place.
Taking a little break with a sucker.
This slide is cool ... it's slippery and curvy. I'm having so much fun!!
I got really grumpy when Mommy said that it was time to go home. I still have my sucker though.

A Normal Saturday Afternoon

Saturday started off slow, but then we went to the park and a fire truck showed up. We all got cool hats and the nice man even let me sit on the front of the truck so I could do a glamour shot.
